The Miller family moved to present day Windy Hollow in the later 1920's.
T.P. Miller opened up the TP Miller Coal company, had a stock farm and grew crops. T.P. also bought and sold properties around the area.
The kids - John, Robert, twins Hal & Tom Jr. and Ione all lived and worked on the farm.
Their mother, Pansy, often worked in the company store.

In the 1930's, TP Miller started building Miller Lakes so his miners could work while coal was not worth the cost.
In the late 1950's, after the passing of both Pansy and T.P. Miller, Miller's Lake opened for swimming, fishing, camping, cabins and mini golf on a daily basis during the summer season
